HomeLAN, you know those guys that run like 40 servers, is releasing their banned list to the public. It would be cool if you guys also banned those ip's. You know how hard it is to find a server with nobody wallhacking? How bad does it suck when you go like 10-5 then some dude who is cheating knocks you off 5x in a row, then you look at his score and he's 25-2 and been playing for 4 rounds.

It would be nice to see that ban list so we know which clans cheat, etc. That way we can dispute OGL matches easier and have more confirmation. In my opinion bannings should come when you see that the player is degrading the game and angering several other players. Now I sound like OSI but you know. And yes PB doesn't detect a lot of shit but it does detect most of them. <br><br>My favorite color is green.

Punkbuster isnt 100%, but think of it like this...Picuture 2 nice cars in a parking lot, one car is punkbuster, and one car is non-punkbuster, the punkbuster car is locked, but the non-punkbuster car isnt locked. Now, a thief has the option to steal either car, but chances are he is going to steal the non-punkbuster car that isnt locked, same as CS...PB isnt perfect but if someone is going to hack something, most ppl will probably hack the pub servers that have no regulation, because they know they can...<br><br>"God is my favorite fictional character"

But in matches now it is required to record a demo, and those catch 99% of cheaters =)

I was just trying to point out that, PunkBuster might not be completely fail safe, but its better than nothing, because if it stops any cheating, even 10 percent, its better than not having it, so thats what I was implying...I want to play competitive, I rox man!<br><br>"God is my favorite fictional character"

While a hacker is playing against other hackers on non-PB servers, he is playing against non-hackers on a PB. Any smart hacker would play only PB servers and rack up more kills.

<br>I still say ban all the IP's on the HomeLAN list. CS has been hacked to death and losing a few potential players on your server is negligable compared to how many ppl actually play. Think like this: How many CS servers are there? 8,000? Even if they all had 2 players on, that's 16,000 possible players, what difference does 2-300 (if it's even that many) make?

you guys do know that PB has the feature to take screenshots of anyone in game now.
